Assault and Battery

I was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon under Penal Code Section 245(a) (1) and an enhancement for Great Bodily Injury under Penal Code Section 12022.7(a). These charges arose when I got intoxicated and assaulted an individual with a bottle and a large board. He suffered head injuries as a result.
