Orange County
Mr. Bruzzo’s extensive experience in local courts in
Orange County can make the difference in the
outcome of your case.
Client was charged with 10 counts of Penal Code Section 288(a) for lewd and lascivious acts upon two children under the age of 14 years; he was also charged with 6 counts of Penal Code Section 288.5 for continuous sexual abuse of two children under the age of 14 years. This case was charged out of the Orange County Superior Court. The Client faced 56 years in prison. Attorney William W. Bruzzo negotiated the case with the District Attorney and WAS ABLE TO GET ALL CHARGES DISMISSED in a relatively short time. Mr. Bruzzo’s familiarity with the court and the District Attorney played a large part in the favorable resolution of this case.
Client was charged with Rape of a child under the age of 12 years; sodomy of a child under the age of 12 years and faced a maximum of life in prison. Attorney William W. Bruzzo took this case to trial and filed 8 evidentiary motions that were argued prior to the trial commencing. After closing argument and while the jury was deliberating whether the Defendant was guilt or not guilty, the prosecutor mentioned to Mr. Bruzzo that he would be asking for 28 years of prison if the client was found guilty. However, after less then an hour of deliberation the jury came back NOT GUILTY on all counts.
Client charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 18 out of the Orange County Superior Court. There was substantial evidence that the client had committed the crime including the client’s confession. The indicated sentence in this case was 60 days in jail, registration as a sex offender and three years of probation. Notably, the sex registration would have been a LIFETIME requirement. Mr. Bruzzo took over the case and began negotiating with the District Attorney. In the end the District Attorney agreed to reduce the charge to a disturbing the peace charge (Penal Code Section 415) with community service. No sex offender registration was required nor was any jail time required! But for Mr. Bruzzo’s efforts the client would have been severely effected by the outcome of the case.
