Drunk and Disorderly (Public Intoxication)

I was involved in a physical altercation with police while I was under the influence. The police claim I was fighting with them and calling them names. As such I was charged with Resisting Arrest – Obstructing Justice under Penal Code Section 148 (a) (1) and Public Intoxication under Penal Code Section 647 (f). I could have faced up to one year in jail on this case. I hired Attorney Will Bruzzo to represent me because of his familiarity with the courts and the district attorney. Mr. Bruzzo showed that I was in alcohol treatment and otherwise trying to make something of myself. After a few visits to court Mr. Bruzzo got the entire case DISMISSED. I am very happy with the result and I would enthusiastically Mr. Bruzzo for any criminal matter. Date: 5/18/11

I was arrested for public intoxication [Penal Code Section 647(f)] and required to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge. This charge carries a maximum of 90 days jail and 3 years of probation. In addition to avoiding any jail time I wanted to keep my record clean in order to avoid any problems in the future with getting a job or going to graduate school. I hired William W. Bruzzo to represent me as he is a highly experienced criminal law attorney who is very familiar with the Courts, the District Attorneys and the Judges in Orange County. Mr. Bruzzo appeared in court without my being present, spoke with the Court and District Attorney and was able to negotiate an arrangement with them whereby if I attended a class, the case would be dismissed. After I attended the class and gave Mr. Bruzzo proof he appeared in court and got the matter DISMISSED. Because of Mr. Bruzzo’s efforts I avoided jail and a conviction. I would highly recommend him for any criminal law matter. Date: 6/24/05
