Lindsay Lohan Breaks Down in Court Over Her Sentencing

The judge in Lindsay’s case just sentenced her to 90 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation by failing to attend alcohol education classes. Apparently, she had nine absences and never attended group meetings. In addition to the jail time, the judge sentenced Lindsay to 90 days of drug rehab as well. The judge seemed fed up by all of Lindsay’s lying over the past few years regarding her taking drugs and drinking.

However, Lindsay thought she was in compliance with her programs. She stated she wasn’t trying to get any special treatment and was continuously trying to balance her court appearances with her job as she has to work to provide for herself. Lindsey told the judge, “I’m not taking this as a joke. It’s my life. It’s my career. … I take responsibility for my actions. I’ve tried to do the best I can. It’s been such a long haul, I don’t want you to think that I don’t respect you.” See, Vehicle Code Section 23152(a) (b)
